What this site collects
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts and no forms that send data to a server. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, so the numbers you type never leave your device. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, described below.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cloudflare's bot protection may run a small security check in your browser and set a strictly necessary cookie, __cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes. It is used only to tell people apart from automated traffic, not for advertising or tracking.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how quickly pages load. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track visitors across sites or build profiles, and doesn't store IP addresses for analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Fonts and other files
The fonts, styles and scripts are served from this site. Apart from the advertising described below, your browser makes no requests to other websites, except that each page also loads the Cloudflare Web Analytics script from static.cloudflareinsights.com.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- To turn off personalised ads from Google, use Google Ads Settings.
- To opt out of personalised ads from other vendors, visit www.aboutads.info.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used.
Legal basis and your rights
Under the GDPR, advertising cookies are used only with your consent. Hosting and security processing by Cloudflare is based on legitimate interest: keeping the site available and safe.
You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email contact@knittinggaugecalculator.com.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), www.cnpd.pt.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.
